James Leslie Logan passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2016, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 63. James was a native of Lenoir City, TN, but had adopted New Orleans, LA (particularly Jesuit Bend) as his home. James was a home improvement contractor who loved his clients as much as his work, and made many cherished friends along the way. James is predeceased by his parents, Abbie Hull Logan and Joe V. Logan. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary “Cathy” LeBlanc Logan, son Jason LeBlanc (Aynsley), brother Chester Logan (Janet), granddaughter Kaylen McAcy, numerous nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Visitation was held on Saturday, October 1 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a brief service following afterward. Interment was private. Craig “Hat” John Trosclair of Marrero, LA left the physical world unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 58. Craig was a loving faithful husband and best friend to his wife of 39 years, Cindy Trosclair. He was a compassionate father that left behind two of his greatest accomplishments, his sons, John Jackson Jr. and Dennis Trosclair, along with his daughter-in-law Jodi Trosclair. Craig was the dedicated son of Farrell Trosclair and the late, Rosiland Aime, as well as stepson of Dorlie Trosclair. He was also a loving proud grandfather to Austin Jackson, Logan Trosclair, and Jacob Jackson. Craig was the caring brother to Denise Nolan (Bob), Bambi Taylor, and Ally Watts (Joey) and stepbrother of Loyd Bagot, Beth Bagot Wilson, and Jeffrey Bagot. Craig was also predeceased by his beloved canine companion, Taz. Craig was a loving devoted family man that was passionate about the outdoors and an avid golfer. Brooke Leigh Ton slipped away from her earthly bonds on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 3 a.m. and Heaven gained a new Angel. Brooke was born on March 19, 1990, in Gretna, LA, the daughter of her loving mother and best friend, Lynda Ronquillo Ton, and her father Hank Ton. Brooke is survived by her parents, her dear friend, and mother’s boyfriend, David Smith, her loving brothers, Joel Ton (Kassidy) and Jason Ton (girlfriend, Jaclynn Hyatt), sister Heather and her children, cherished boyfriend, Michael Callais, best friend Charlie Newberry, special friend, Blake Brown, who was like a brother to her, beloved godmother, Barbara Halphen, godson, Ayden Kennedy and his sister, Brianna Kennedy who was like a sister to Brooke, grandfather Abraham Ton, (Annette), canine companion, Eddie, and loving Aunts and Uncles: Karen Ballay (John, deceased); Angel Kennedy (James); Cindy Zito (Howard); Simon (Joey) Ronquillo; Earl Ronquillo (Rhonda); Nancy Butler (Delton), Marie Rimes (Ray), special cousins, Taylor Ronquillo, Rachel and Jamie, and many more cousins and friends. Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Simon and Ellamae Ronquillo who welcomed her with open arms at heaven’s door, and her paternal grandmother Joyce Ton. Brooke was a graduate of Academy of Our Lady and Our Lady of Holy Cross College. She was pursuing a doctorate degree at the time of her passing. Brooke was a former Eucharistic minister and lector at St. Patrick Church in Port Sulphur. She also assisted and counseled callers on the New Orleans Crisis Hotline. To know Brooke was to love Brooke. She was so smart and thoughtful. She never met a stranger. In her too short time here on earth, Brooke touched more lives and made more friends than most people do in a lifetime. She had an enormous heart and lived life to the fullest and with passion. She had that rare gift of warmth and unselfishness. She often visited her uncle at the nursing home. She joked and cheered him with her sweet nature. She sang to him and with him and was his Karaoke Buddy at family parties and events. She loved writing poetry and stories. She also had a passion for song and dance from a young age, and wrote and sang several songs with the voice of an angel. Brooke enjoyed fishing and hunting with her brothers and friends. She brought so much life and joy to our lives and we are much better for having known and loved her. Until we meet again-- fly high Beautiful Angel!
