Great grandmother of Timmy, Josie, Vincent, Griffin, Kelsey, Emily, and Talon. She was the oldest of ten children, Vickie Laird, Mary Ann Miller, Margaret Billiot Cox, Tony and Sal Catalano. She was preceded in death by siblings, Emily Robeau, Lucy Robinson, Vincent and Frankie Catalano. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Antoinette did volunteer work at JoEllen Smith Hospital and loved to volunteer when it was time to bake Italian cookies for the St. Joseph Alters at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Joseph Church in Gretna. Horace Alphonse Maise Sr. departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at his home in Boothville, LA surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Nola Maise, one son and eight daughters, 23 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three siblings. William Michael "Mike" Van Haverbeke, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, December 14, 2015 at West Jefferson Medical Hospital, after valiantly fighting many illnesses during his life. Loving father to Michael Van Haverbeke (wife Kelli), Brian Van Haverbeke (wife Courtney), and Jason Van Haverbeke (wife Jeanette); grandfather to Kaitlyn, Brian Jr., Bryce, and Makenzie; ex-husband to Margaret S. Van Haverbeke Boudreaux (husband Wayne); brother to Jenny Kersey (husband Russ) and Alida Gage. He is preceded in death by his father, Gaston L. Van Haverbeke, and mother, Billie Teddlie. Born on July 9, 1947 to Gaston and Billie; Mike graduated form West Jefferson High School in 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1972. He married the love of his life, Margaret Scarabin, in 1967 and together had three sons. An entrepreneurial spirit, Mike successfully started his family's business, Southland Rental Tools, Inc., in 1981 in Belle Chasse, LA. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing the lower coast of Plaquemines Parish and coaching his sons baseball teams. Although his life was detoured by illness, he possessed a kind soul and always wore a smile. Mike will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank all of those who have helped care for Mike through the years. Your compassion, love, and care have been truly appreciated. Scott John Heindel peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the age of 62. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Huxen Heindel. Scott is survived by his father, Alton “Al” Heindel; his sister, Dianne Heindel Griffith (Matt); his brother, Glenn Heindel (Rhonda); his Neice, Kristi Murphy (Trevor) and his nephew, Devin Heindel. Scott was an Associate at Walmart in Algiers for 27 years in the Electronic Department. He was a loving and caring person who loved being involved in photography and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
