Brother of Stephanie Vix, Patricia “Tricia” and Gary Gueldner, Mark and Misty Vix, and Dawn Farrell. Grandson of Carroll J. Prejean and June Oser Prejean, and the late Clifford Vix Jr. and Earline Cheramie Vix. Nephew of Jan and Jim Cooper, Cynthia “Nana” P. Stephen was born and raised in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help and graduated from St. Michael’s Special School. He was, to say the least, an avid Saints and LSU football fan, and to say that he held Drew Brees in high regard would be putting it mildly. But there were a few not far behind Drew: John Cena, Elvis, and Jeff Dunham (Walter is his favorite). Stephen loved his Guitar Hero, HARD rock music, riding in Thoth, and watching (and singing) the movie “Grease” with his mom. Stephen’s dad had an incredible group of friends that took Stephen in as one of their own – in fact you would think that Stephen was a son to each one of them. They had many pet names for him, all of which were always a source of entertainment at the camp on the bayou. Stephen had an amazing sense of humor and an incredible ability to touch people to their emotional core when they least expected it. Once that emotional connection was formed it was enduring and forever. Stephen’s relationship with his sister, Stephanie, was different from any other, and their bond was special and unique to only them. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Highway 23 in Belle Chasse on Thursday, April 7, 2016.
