Ralph C. Wooton Jr. passed away peacefully on April 20, 2018 at the age of 54. Beloved father of Chance M. Wooton, Kyle P. Wooton (Kelsey Colar) and Faith E. Wooton. Grandfather of Gracelyn, Kaden and the late Preston. Brother of Chancellor “Mitch” Wooton (Christine) and Christopher Wooton (Cynthia). Son of Shirley Johnson Wooton and the late Ralph C. Wooton Sr. Uncle of Candice, Kristen, Caleb and Catherine. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. He was a native of Port Sulphur, LA ,and a resident of Diamonhead, MS. Nathalie “Honey” Gaile passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James W. Gaile Sr.; her son, James W. Gaile Jr.; her parents, Lucille Boudreaux Wilson and George E. Wilson Sr.; and her siblings, Alvin Wilson, Doris Wilson Walker and George E. Wilson Jr.; and special friend and neighbor, Barbara Lae. Honey is the loving mother-in-law of Belinda Higgins Gaile. She is the devoted grandmother of James W. Gaile III. She is the devoted great-grandmother of James W. Gaile IV. Carol Laing Pegher of New Orleans, LA, passed away May 5, 2018 at Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice at the age of 75. Married 50 years to R. William Pegher, originally of Brookline, PA, she survived cancer and other illnesses, but remained ever quick with a smile and a laugh. Th e most important thing in her life was her family. She also cared about others, and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Carol was born and raised in Hopewell Township, PA, and graduated from Hopewell High School in 1960. She studied at Robert Morris College and became an executive secretary for Equitable Gas Co. Carol is preceded in death by her father Charles, mother Olga Fern, and brother James Laing. She is survived by husband R. William, daughters Kelly Guerra and Julie (Christian) Short, both of New Orleans, and grandchildren Nicholas, Madeline, Katherine, and Marshall. Madeline Marie Vaccarello Ranatza passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Murphy J. Ranatza, Jr. Mother of Murphy Ranatza, III (Fae Esteves), Mark Ranatza, Sr. (late Julie), Matthew Ranatza (Colette). Grandmother of Robert Drake (Jackie), Mark Ranatza, Jr., Andrea Vaughan. Great-grandmother of Meagan, Jenna, Gavin, Logan, Kayla, and Robbie. Great-Great grandmother of Carson. Daughter of the late Josephine Cacibauda Herman (late David) and Joseph Vaccarello (late Corinne). A native of Waltham, MA, and a resident of Belle Chasse, LA for her last 65 years. As a teenager she moved to Belle Chasse where she met her future husband Murphy. She then moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from George Washington High School. In 1954 she returned to Belle Chasse to marry and settled down on the farm where she resided until her death. Madeline was a homemaker, well known for her Italian cooking and seafood dishes, as well as her preparation of the local wildlife which she was given by her husband and sons. In addition, she worked on the family farm packing Creole tomatoes for most of the farms three generation of growers. In her later years, she also worked for the Louisiana Department of Social Services where she retired from at age 74. Nicholas Joseph Liebel, Jr., passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 29, 2018, surrounded by family at the age of 73. Nick is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Cynthia Hebert Liebel; son, Nicholas J. Liebel, III (Addie); daughter, Lesley Mathis (Mark); granddaughter, Ashley Liebel; and grandsons, Jake, Ben, and Grant Mathis. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Schluter (Jim) and Rebecca Ferran (Ray). He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas Joseph Liebel, Sr., and Jeanne Lalonde Liebel. He was a dedicated employee of Louisiana Coca-Cola Bottling Company in New Orleans for 42 years before retiring in 2006. He proudly served as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for 23 years until his retirement. He was a devoted family man who loved his Lord and church faithfully. Throughout his life he enjoyed many interests including coaching youth sports, boating, golfing, watching LSU football, and most of all spending time with his dearly loved grandchildren. Nick’s generous spirit and legacy continues as it was his request that his body be donated to the LSU Health Sciences Center for the advancement of science. Joseph Clement “Joey” Ballay IV left this life on March 12, 2018 at the age of 68. He leaves behind his children Joseph C Ballay V and Joshua C Ballay. Grandfather of Briahna A Ballay, Julia C Ballay. Son of Diane S Ballay Ballard. Brother of Michael C Ballay (Beverly), Bonnie B Dazet (Everard III), Jon C Ballay, Jessica C Ballay and Sarah Ballay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Joseph C Ballay III and sister Regina C Venturini. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial at St. Ann Church on Saturday May 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. His final place of rest will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Frederick “Skinny Man” Adams, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday May 4, 2018 at Passages Hospice at the age of 64. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, La. Son of James Adams Sr. and the late Beaulah Adams. Father of Frederick Jr. Adams, Quinnan Adams, Robbin Jones and Keisha Barlow. Former husband of the late Robbin Barlow Adams. Brother of Donna Dapremont (the late Lawrence) and James Adams, Jr. (the late Beaulah Cobbs). Also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. She was a native of Boothville, LA, and a resident of Gretna, LA, before retiring to Riverbend Nursing Home. Alvin “Yama” Harry Bean entered into eternal rest at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Hospital on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the age of 70. He was a native of Nairn, LA and a longtime resident of Algiers, LA. After attending Sunrise High School and Southern University of Baton Rouge, he retired as a Lance Corporal from the United States Marine Corp. Devoted son of Leola Nye Bean and the late Abner Horace Bean, Sr. Brother of Melvina L. Bean Encalude Williams, Allen Bean, Phillip I. Bean, Paula J. Bean (Curtis) Williams, Patricia A. Bean (Merlin) Ragas, Chris T. (Gaynell) Bean, Gary L. (Marion) Bean, Sr., Leatrice LaFrance, Jerry R. (Cherlyn) Bean, Valda Bean (Alvin) Taylor and the late Abner H. Bean, Jr.; also survived by 40 nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
